The Doctor of Theology in Clinical Pastoral Psychotherapy (D.Th.) (CPP) program is designed for those who have already had significant experience in the art of chaplaincy and pastoral ministry. It implies that they have been working in the field with a Master of Theology Degree in Chaplaincy, Master of Divinity, or a similar degree and have received 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). The D. Th. CPP program is focused on the academic study of clinical pastoral psychotherapy and its clinical application to ministry and pastoral guidance. This program will combine academics as well as pastoral awareness training. It will offer an opportunity for ministers to utilize an integral approach and analysis in pastoral advising settings.

The D. Th. CPP program content is driven by self-discovery, finding one’s own path, and nurturing contemplation. The content may include: Myers Briggs Personality Type Inventory, Genogram & Birth Order & Family Systems, Mental Illness and Spiritual Care, Bio-Psycho-Socio-Spiritual Ontology of Human Beings, Heroic Myth Index, and Theological Worlds.
